The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) held its delegates’ conference to elect members of the Central Executive Committee, the party’s top policy-making organ. Leaders of other leagues, including the Women’s League, were also chosen, but the Youth League elections were cancelled following reports of voter bribery and other irregularities.
