The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) held its delegates’ conference to elect members of the Central Executive Committee, the party’s top policy-making organ. Leaders of other leagues, including the Women’s League, were also chosen, but the Youth League elections were cancelled following reports of voter bribery and other irregularities. Senior party members have warned that if such practices are not addressed, the party could face serious challenges. Political analyst Charity Ahimbisibwe joins us to break down these developments.
