Uganda requires $28bn for climate mitgation
Between 2023 and 2030, Uganda will need a staggering $28.1 billion (over UGX 78.3 trillion) to fast-track its sustainable development goals. This funding estimated by the Ministry of Finance will drive climate change adaptation through green infrastructure projects while enhancing mitigation efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 25%. However, only 15% of this amount is expected to be raised domestically, with the rest sourced from international grants and loans.
