Uganda’s Herbal Medicine Market: A lucrative pharmaceutical venture
Following the government approval of locally manufactured herbs for the treatment of respiratory infections businesspeople and researchers have discovered that there is a lot of untapped money in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in trading in herbs for medicinal purposes, where millions could be made. Prof. Patrick Ogwang, the Managing Director and Executive Chairman of Jena Herbals Uganda Limited, says there is great potential, but locals must form partnerships with international players to gain an edge in the market.
