NFA partners with residents to protect critical forests
The National Forestry Authority has partnered with communities around Bugoma Central and Wambabya Forest Reserves to safeguard them from further degradation. Bugoma and Wambabya central forest reserves have been heavily destroyed by charcoal burners, illegal loggers, and cultivators. NFA has given community members livelihood options to get out of the reserves.
