Ugandans, security ready for new year festivals
Security has been beefed up in different places where end of year prayers and festivals are being held. People started arriving at places of their choice as early as dawn. NTV’s Baker Mulinde managed to reach some spots like Kabaka’s palace in Mengo, where security was seen on the ground to ensure law and order. More so, there have been traffic diversions around the palace. Motorists could not access some roads like the Royal Mile, Mwanga 2 that leads to the palace, among other roads.
