Rubongoya: We have nothing to negotiate with government
The Secretary General of the Opposition National Unity Platform, David Lewis Rubongoya has ruled out the possibility of negotiating with the government to secure the release of dozens of detained party supporters. Rubongoya questions what the party could give in exchange for the freedom of party supporters. In an interview with NTV days after some detained party supporters pleaded guilty, Rubongoya committed unwavering support to them on grounds that their change of mind is absolutely understandable given the torture and inhumane treatment they have endured for years in Uganda's detention centers and prisons .
