Gen Muhoozi wants disruptions investigated
The State Minister for Internal Affairs General David Muhoozi has directed the State House land protection Unit and the Police Land Protection Unit to open up investigations into the massive land evictions in Bunyoro. The Minister wants the unit to start with areas where serious land evictions occurred, in Ndaiga Sub-County Kagadi District, Hoima and Kiryandongo. Gen Muhoozi's directive came during a meeting on land disputes in the region organized by the State Minister for Bunyoro Affairs and the Ministry of Lands in Hoima Oil City. At the same meeting, state Minister for Bunyoro Affairs Jenipher Namuyangu also called upon the lands ministry to cancel land titles which have been issued out illegally in this area.
