Kasese residents raise funds to improve Rukoki Health Centre 4
A marathon held in the Kasese district to raise funds for the reconstruction of a maternity ward at Rukoki Health Centre 4 has realised 67.7 million shillings. The move is planned to improve the facility at a cost of at least 170 million shillings, replacing the old structure that was razed down by an inferno in 2021. The health centre is using improvised tents, but officials are overwhelmed by the number of patients, with the facility averaging 300 mothers a month.
