Private school learners outperform government school peers
The proficiency of primary learners in private schools remains significantly higher than that of their counterparts in government schools. An assessment of the country’s education progress by the Uganda National Examinations Board has further revealed that primary learners in urban areas are also significantly more proficient than their peers in rural areas. This is part of the outcomes of an assessment conducted by the examination body in August last year.
