KPMG executives required to report on sustainability
The country managing and partner at audit firm KPMG, says the two latest regulatory frameworks that became effective on 1st January 2024 require corporations, to disclose what they are doing to ensure sustainability and climate change. He adds that the latest report by the Africa, Environment, Social and Governance Secretariat (ESG) shows that, the majority of the companies sampled, were not embedding environmental, social, and governance standards into their integrated strategies, saying this exposes their businesses to serious risk.
