Ugandan firm starts manufacturing air filters
A Ugandan company run by Chinese investors has started manufacturing motor vehicle air filters and has according officials set sites on ridding the country of counterfeits on the local market. The factory based in Mbale industrial park is a joint venture between the national enterprise corporation and another Chinese firm Watu. The general manager WATU Liu Quingshan, however says the UNBS has frustrated their efforts to get a quality mark, which is holding billions in export receipts.On his tour of the factory, Defence state minister Jacob Oboth Oboth pledged to table the matter before cabinet.
