Joe Walker remembrance road safety relay walk
The Joe Walker Remembrance Road Safety Relay Walk is an annual walk to commemorate people who die in road crashes globally. The walk happens during the Global Road Safety Week and this year, it will be on November 17, 2024. This event aligns with the United Nations' goal to reduce global road traffic deaths by 50% by 2030. According to the Uganda police annual crime report of 2023, road crashes claimed 4,806 lives— an average of more than 13 people every day.
