More MPs may face arrest in corruption probe
The Government Chief Whip, Dennis Obua, has revealed that more Members of Parliament linked to a racket allegedly conniving with technocrats at the Ministry of Finance to distort budgets for personal benefit may be arrested. Speaking to NRM leaders in Mbale City, Obua said the party does not tolerate corruption, despite some allegations. This follows the recent arrest and detention of three MPs who are members of the Budget Committee, charged with corruption in the Anti-Corruption Court.
