Schools face deadline to submit learner assessments or risk zero scores
More than 200 learners from 33 schools who have been sitting for their O-level exams under the new lower secondary school curriculum could wind up with no scores unless their schools can submit their continuous assessments. They were supposed to hand in these scores by October 30, 2024. Under this curriculum, schools are required to assess their learners from senior one, and this continuous assessment accounts for 20 percent of their final score, while the final UNEB exams account for 80 percent. According to the Executive Director of UNEB, Dan Odongo, the 33 schools have been placed under pressure to ensure those scores are submitted by Friday.
